View Full Version : BF2.exe is not a valid Win32 appication...

I had to uninstall and re-install. I have done this twice and I get this error message when i try to start the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What OS? If we're talking vista or 7...turn your UAC off and the right click the BF2 icon and click run as administrator.

weird, i have windows 7 64 bit and didn't have a problem.

try running the game for XP pro SP3 compatible.
right*click the bf2 icon > properties > compatibility tab > choose Windows XP ( Service Pack 3).

I would strongly suggest to uninstall anything related to bf2 first.
and follow this steps.
1- install bf2
2- restart pc
3- patch bf2 with version 1.41
4- restart pc when the patch is finished
5- install patch 1.5

change the option to play bf2 as an administrator if you're not the admin of the computer.

You wouldnt have this problem if you were running XP.

So, it appears to me that it actually has something to do with my copy of BF2. I installed a buddy's copy and it works fine...Must be something to do with my CD key...Oh well. I'm back playing anyways. Thanks for the help!
