The first thing you have to do is see how fast the car will go in reverse...

Ok Corona just for you. Im pretty sure it will only go about 20 tops, But I know that if i cant get up a hill I should go up it in reverse

Yea, I am a pro driving in reverse.
I would put the pedal to the metal in reverse.

That shit is awesome.

good luck Kyle. I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Please remember to use your signals, and pay attention to the freakin road.
There is nothing I hate more than some guy that is texting his girlfriend about dinner while holding me up at a green light on my way home from work.

GOD DAMN THEM!!!

and I suggest you leave your cell phone at home for the first few months of driving or throw it in the trunk. that way you won't be distracted by it, but you'll still have it in case of an emergency.

goodluck Kyle.

In Texas you are not allowed to use a phone or have a radio on for first 12 months of having a license. He can have it with him.

At many of the wealthier high schools, it's a tradition for the kid to get a car for their 16th B-day. These are not beater cars, but newer or new cars that the kids have done nothing to earn besides breathe. Every year, a few of these kids end up in roll overs, collisions, seriously injured, or dead, from taking stupid risks, like racing or speeding. Since they have no stake in the vehicle (they didn't earn it and don't pay the insurance on it) they don't really use the caution they should, but take needless risks for the thrill of it.

My standard for my boys, is that they don't get to touch my car keys unless they have a $1000 deposit with me, to cover the insurance deductible in case they crash my van. That way they pay to fix any damage they cause. Of course, if I have to use any of the deposit, they can't drive until it's back up to $1000. They also have to cover their own insurance on their own policy, so that my rates aren't affected by any dumb ass mess ups they get themselves into.

Does this sound harsh?
Yeah, but it's intended to make them think about what they are doing behind the wheel. I don't want to stand by a hospital bed wishing they had used more wisdom and caution, filled with regrets and worry for the future....

What's worse then?

My dad helped me buy my first truck, but I paid for most of it and the insurance. But I started working at 14, so that was expected of me.

I hade a 96' chevy half ton single cab with a manual tranny. I worked hard for it, but man I had some fun times in that truck....on the memories!

Fuck. I want a truck so bad. My dream truck is a F-350-450 super duty with the powerstroke, Quad cab, 8 foot bed, with working exhaust stacks. Fully loaded. That baby starts out at...62,000.
I cant even get a cheap truck. Sadly Im stuck with a granny mobile thats on the verge of blowing up. ]:

her records good because for the first few years she still made me drive everywhere and ask her how often she takes the freeway driving with her is like>:6::7: put together

p.s.
the fastest i have gone on the freeway is 145 mph in my friend's 06' 325i, awesome and scary at the same time but pure adrenaline, only cause it was midnight and we were racing a charger daytona and a mustang cobra on interstate 10 going through arizona. <<<<<<<<KYLE DON'T TRY THIS

Not much scares me in motor vehicles anymore, after riding shotgun in several wrecks and going airborne across an intersection. Then this one time I went 160 on the interstate after tearing through a college parking lot. Also I have been chased several times by the cops. Any dangerous things you wanna try? Hit me up on xfire. :D

I've actually had 3 cars in my 2 years of having a license. 98 Civic, 83 Camaro Z28 with a built 350, and my 08 Subaru Impreza which I currently own now. Yes, I pay for it all. Insurance, car payments, everything.
